Looking back at my Genex

Seeing Wilson Tsang's Water Tengu Synchro deck made me want to play Genex again. I mean, I retired the deck before I was able to get all of my Duel Terminal Genex Undines.

I know that it wasn't that good a deck, but I still liked it a lot for some reason. It was really unique at the time, and the format was slow enough for it to do fairly well at locals... somehow. Regardless, it was just really fun to play; I just really like Smashing Ground for some reason.

So, I was thinking about a T.G. build with a Scrap engine. I didn't like it very much; it seemed too inconsistent. Even with all of the T.G. searching, the Scraps would just sit there doing nothing, unless I got lucky enough to draw Scrap Beast and Scrap Chimera together.

After a while, I realized the the basic Genex and T.G. engines could work well together. There's the whole T.G. Striker and Genex Undine combo, which nets a Synchro with practically no cost while dumping a Water into the Graveyard. The Monsters a just a series of searchers that would prevent me from running out of cards. And, it would allow me to play the Smashing Grounds that I like so much for some reason.

I'm still working on putting the deck together, but I think that it could work. I might just try it out at locals and see how it does.
