Scrap Searcher...

...cannot activate its effect during the Damage Step.

Therefore, it cannot activate when another Scrap is destroyed by battle.

Therefore, it can only be used in situational combos with Scrap (Twin) Dragon, Scrap Mind Reader, or Scrapstorm.

Therefore, it should not be used outside of a deck that abuses Scrap Mind Reader.

Therefore, it should not be used in a good Scrap deck.

Therefore, it is bad.

    why scrap searcher cannot be summoned in damage step?

    Konami ruled that Scrap Searcher cannot be Special Summoned in the Damage Step, which is consistent with the ruling on Revival Rose.
