Holy Light

Holy Light

I was going to talk about Harmony's Treasure, today, but I decided to talk about Holy Light instead. This card is just CRAZY. It just completely locks down all-Dark decks by itself. Darks cannot attack or be Normal or Special Summoned while this thing is on the field. How is that fair?

It is incredibly poweful. Against Blackwing decks, their best bet is using Icarus Attack by tributing a set monster. Vayu Turbo may play Raigeki Break/Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, but otherwise... yeah...

It's also easy to throw into Lightsworn or Gladiator Beasts. Lightsworn can protect it with Necro Gardna and Honest. Gladiator Beasts can protect it with stuff like Book of Moon and Waboku. When this comes out, people running all-Dark decks may side Fissure to get rid of this thing.

I suppose there have been cards like this in a way that they are supposedly able to shut down the other top decks. GB Hunter, at a glance, would be able to lock down Gladiator Beasts. However, they have Fissure, D.D. Warrior Lady, and other removal to get rid of it. Light-Imprisoning Mirror is supposed to basically shut down Lightsworn, and it does a pretty good job once it gets to the field, since Lightsworn decks aren't made to draw their outs, they're made to mill them.

Hey, for all we know, people will dismiss Holy Light and never play it. We'll just have to wait and see...
